Thank you

I just want to thank everyone for their kind words :)

I had a quiet weekend, and got back on track with my eating.
I got on the scales this morning and I am about the same as last week - so I didn't do to much damage on thursday and friday!

Not much else to report, I am still on track- and intend to stay that way!

Hope everyone else is doing well :)

frustrated

This is my second attempt at writing - the power went off last night before I had a chance to save what I had written.

I weighed in yesterday and lost another .1 , very frustrating since I have eaten quite well during the last week.
To top it off I was picking at food all afternoon...argh!

Today I am going out for lunch at the local pub with a friend, so I am planning to have something light for dinner!

Not much else to say - in a bit of a grumpy mood!

Will go and catch up on my emails and other blogs!

Quick update...

I did an exercising video as soon as I dropped the kids off to school, It feels so good to have it out of the way early on - and I think I am actually thinking a bit more when I eat something, because I don't want to ruin the work that I have done - this is a habit I want to continue!

Today I went to a scrapbooking demo, and it was great fun, I think I am hooked already!
I took some photo's of both the boys together, I am very happy with the end result!
One of the other women is having another one on the 3rd june! I have already gone through photo's to see which ones I want to take. From the demo I brought a starter kit - it's a shame I have to wait a few weeks for delivery :(

Eating has been good today, I had one little 'finger food' thingy at the demo, and it was horrible - so that stopped me from having anything else :) I am half way through my 2nd litre of water.

Luke has been feeling better today - he went to school, but was a bit to tired to stay back for the after school sport activities!

Thanks Flutter for the offer of help - I will write to U

Night all :)

Blogs I read

Since I can't work out how to do this list on the side - I thought I would list them here:
Angel
A girl running
Anne
Chubbymum
Deb
Hayley
Flutterbye
Janene
Janine
Just4Jo
Karen
Kate
Lyn
Margaret
Paulene
Rainy
Today I started well by doing an exercise video as soon as I got home from taking the boys to school - I had noticed that I am getting a bit slack in that department!

I am glad I did it early, because I had to go pick Luke up, because he isn't feeling well - he is complaining of a sore ear, so it may be an ear infection ( he has had a few, but is normally more sooky than he is today)
I could not get into the doctors until 3.45 - it is so annoying only having one doctor, living in a small town does suck sometimes!

Some good news though, ages ago I entered a competition for Blackmores destress, and I won a T-shirt, a lovely purple/mauve colour. It was a great surprise since I had forgotten I had actually entered. This is the first thing I have ever won!!

The T-shirt is a size 10 - so won't fit me at the moment, but,
I am going to join Kates challenge and try to lose 10 kilo's in 18 weeks.
If, I mean WHEN, I succeed I will be down to 72 kilo's!!

A poem

Sorry for lack of updates, been really busy - we had the opening ceremony of the primary school today, so have had to help "behind the scenes" for the last few days!

I weighed in yesterday and lost ..... a huge 100g!!
I wasn't too happy, as I had been soo good all week, hopefully it may mean a better loss
next week :)

Here is a poem I thought you all would enjoy!

DON'T QUIT!

When you've eaten too much and you can't write it down.
And you feel like the buggest failure in town.
When you want to give up, because you gave in,
and forgot all about being healthy and thin.
So What! You went over your points a bit,
It's your next move that counts...

So, DON'T YOU QUIT!

It's a moment of truth, it's an attitude change.
It's learning the skills to get back to your range.
It's telling yourself, "You've done great up to now.
You can take on this challenge and beat it somehow."
It's part of your journey towards reaching your goal.
You're sill gonna make it, just stay in control.
To stumble and fall is not a discrace,
if you summon the will to get back in the race.
But, often the struggler's, when losing their grip,
Just throw it the towel and continue to slip.
And learn too late when the damage is done,
that the race wasn't over...they still could have won.
Lifestyle change can be awkward and slow,
but facing each challenge will help you grow.
Success is failure turned inside out,
the silver tint in a cloud of doubt.
When you're pushing to the brink, just refuse to submit.
If you bite it, you write it...

But

DON"T YOU QUIT!

Quote

I found this today...

"Finish everyday and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doub have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tommorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenly, with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense. This day is all that is good and fair. It is too dear, with it's hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on yesterdays."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

I really like that quote!

Today has been good - I got the thingy to clean the chimney - so Vic should be able to do it tonight when he gets home, it is getting chilly already - so hopefully it will work!

I had french toast for breakfast, left over pasta for lunch , rice crackers for snack and have made chicken in plum sauce for tea. i am half way through my second bottle of water!

Well better go take Jason to karate!

Night all

Here is the recipe out of the slimming magazine;

makes 24
cook time 8-10 min

250g self raising flour
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
100g low fat spread, chilled
50g brown sugar
2 tbsp golden syrup
1 egg, lightly beaten

On a lightly floured board roll out dough to 5mm thick. Cut out using a small gingerbread cutter. Transfer to prepared trays. Bake for 8-10 minutes till lightly golden.
You can decorated with icing!

I didn't have a gingerbreadman cutter - so I made stars instead, and I didn't worry about the decorating!

Monday, May 16

Everything going well today, it is amazing how much you can get done when you are in the right frame of mind!

Made the penne in bacon sauce for tea, had a toasted sandwich for lunch and porridge for breakfast, and have had my water!

Only problem today was I made some gingerbread cookies from the new slimming magazine, and ate a few to many -:( they were really nice though!

Well only quick tonight, we have no fire cause the chimney is a bit blocked - there was smoke coming out everywhere, so an early night under the doona with a book for me!

Ps Glad you liked the statement below, I intend to read it often!!

Sunday, May 15

"I am responsible for what I eat.
The choice to eat healthily is mine.
Nobody is forcing me to overeat.
My body reflects how I approach food.
I can choose to change how I look and to take better care of myself."

A quiet day at home today - sorted out some clothes Vic got off our friend who is moving, so tommorrow I have to find some space in our closet for them!

Good day eating wise, had porridge for breakfast, left over chicken pie for lunch and mongolian beef for tea( and have put the rest in a container for Vic to take for lunch). No snacking, had one sugar free lolly. I have already had my two litres of water, so things going great!

Now I am going to go get my Annette Sym books, and plan my shopping list for next week while I watch big brother!

Night all :)

A good day

Today has been good eating wise, I made french toast this morning out of Annette Syms book, and it was yum..and filling too. For dinner I made the chicken pie which went down really well with the rest of the family! and I am on my second litre of water!

I have not exercised today - but I moved the boys bedrooms which took a bit of energy moving desks and shelves. They are enjoying having 'new' rooms!

I scored a crockpot today - the owner is moving overseas,he didn't have any room to take it but didn't want to get rid of it , so I am borrowing it till he comes back! I have seen alot of recipies on the ww forum - so I will have to check them out!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Stayed the same

Weighed in thursday morning - (in the lightest clothes I could find) and the result was the same as last week, we call it a turtle at our club. So I was very relieved!
I borrowed a book from the meeting - breaking free from compulsive eating, so I will be having a good read of that during the next week!

Now I'm off to ge the boys ready for school!

" Positive thoughts. Premote postive reactions."

P.s Happy Birthday Rachel!

Wednesday, May 11

I was just reading kimba's blog - and it made a lot of sense about how I have been feeling!
- the address is http://www.kimbaleo.com/
Eating has been fine today - I have put the nutella incident behind me, and have been drinking alot of water too!

Tuesday, May 10

I feel sick!

I feel sick, I caved and ate half a jar of nutella and now I feel so sick. I don't know why I did it - maybe bordom? maybe emotional?
This is something I used to do alot - I HAD been at least 2 months nutella free!!
- so now I feel a bit of a failure, since I was going along so well.

Yesterday the guy came to fix the dishwasher - and I also got him to fix the lid off the washing machine - hubby had broken it ( dunno how!) which meant for the last few weeks I had a bit of wire holding a bit up, so the machine would work - so I am happy that it is now fixed!
- about the dishwasher, he had to take the whole thing apart to find the leak - it took ages, and he will get back to me, to see if he can get a new part. So still washing dishes - my hands are so dry at the moment!

Well housework needs to be done - will update later!

Monday

Kids go up early yesterday morning, got some lovely homemade cards, candles and bath salts and oils, and a lovley little frame with a mother poem in it. Then Jason went to sunday school and brought home some chocolates that he had made - ate a few to many :(

Mothers day luch was at Mum's, it was nice to catch up with family - it is not very often that we all are together in the same place at the same time. (I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters)
We had pumpkin soup and roast lunch - followed by cakes for dessert, I only had a really tiny bit of cake though as I was full before they came out!

Rushed home in time to get the kids bathed and ready for bed so I could sit down and watch Big Brother - it's looking interesting already, I am already hooked - I wanna see how the twin thing works out!

Well not alot happening today - I am waiting for a guy to come and hopefully fix the dishwasher:)

Water has been good the last few days - too much snacking though,
I will have to get my butt into gear - or I will be headed for a gain!

Saturday, May 7

Sports day for the boys went well, Jason got a 2nd and 4th ribbon, and Luke a 1st and 4th ribbon - so both are stoked!!

My neighbour (Anne) had her little girl yesterday at 5.45pm - so we went in to see her tonight, she called her Sidney Errin Frances, she was 6lb 12oz, she is gorgeous and soo tiny :)

Today we went to pipeworks market, which was fun - we walked around for a long time and the boys( all three..lol.) had fun on the dodgem cars. I picked up 2 dvds for the boys - 'robots and 5 and it', and I got hitch for me~ a great bargain at $10 each

"Happy mothers day" for all the mothers out there for tommorrow!!
We are going to my Mums for lunch this year!

Friday, May 6

I didn't update yesterday because I had a nagging headache, and went to bed early...

So weighed in yesterday and lost .3 which I was very happy with, cause I had expected a gain from the junk I had eaten - I suppose the walking helped!

We had a product presentation at the meeting yesterday, the lady brought in some valia yogurts for us to take home - and they are really nice - we also tried a low fat choc mousse and the nanas apple pies. So it was a fun morning. she also gave us a sheet about a company called healthe, they have a site healthe.com.au , I have not looked it up yet ..but for a $49 membership, you get discounts at coles and other places, and there is supposed to be alot of health and wellness info!
So I will be having a look at that!

Well I have to go and get ready - the boys have a sports day today, and I am a helper, so alot of walking around for me today.

Tuesday, May 3

Lukes Birthday

Well today my baby is six! It doesn't seem that long ago he was a coming home from hospital...lol
He got up at the crack of dawn to open his presents - spent the rest of the morning playing with his new remote control car!

I went and brought a set of food scales today, as the cheap ones I have are not very accurate, and I figure if I am going to do this properly, I need to make sure my measurements are right. Normally I am a "pinch of this, dash of that" type of cook. I only paid $30 for some basic ones that go from 1g to 2kg, it can also do ounces - which some old recipies have and I can reset to add other ingredients. So I am very happy!!
So I had to play with my new toy - so I measured out a heap of mince into 100g serves, for single portions for me, and measured everything properly for the lasagne I made for tea. I love new toys:)

Well I have done 10 minute airwalker, 25 minute walk and I am on my 2nd bottle (litre) of water, so things going well so far. After tea I have planned to have a small slice of cake.

Does washing dishes count as exercise? I have been doing a lot of sinkfuls for the last two days because the dishwasher has decided to leak all over the floor! My husband came home last night and laughed at me doing the dishes saying"thats not something I see very often!"
I miss my dishwasher!!!

Cake,cake,cake

Today has mostly consisted of making cakes, and wrapping presents. It is Luke's birthday tommorrow; I made a heap of iced cupcakes for Luke to share with his class, and also a big cake for the family, with a race track on it. I think I did pretty well not licking my fingers too much!!

I also went for a 1/2 hour walk, and I have had my two litres of water. Eating has been very good too, to compensate for any stray cake mixture/icing :)

Well short and sweet tonight. Desperate housewives is on very soon,
Seeya's all tommorrow :)
