Friday, September 8
I was very good and had my yogurt for breakfast
- the reason I didn't have it before I left home wasn't really scale related - I normally eat breakfast around 9ish, and on thursday's I leave home around 8am, I just can't handle food that early! I did have a drink of water in the car though:)
It made a huge difference while I was shopping - only brought the stuff I needed!
The only treat I had was a honeycomb kitkat really yummy:) a huge difference to my thursday night block of chocolate!!
But "I don't do that anymore" - from AJ rochesters book
I am feeling very positive for the coming week. I weighed myself this morning and I am only 100g heavier than yesterday, which is a great start. Most weeks I am a kilo up already!
I do have to go a conference on Saturday that includes morning tea and lunch. It is also the AGM for the whole of Vic's TOWN clubs. I went last year and the lunch was all low fat (since we are a weightloss group...lol)
It was pouring with rain yesterday, so I had to find a belt when I got home, because my jeans are getting loose which also means they are sitting lower so the cuffs were soaked by the time I got home ( and that is with wearing shoes with a huge heel)
So I dug out a belt from the wardrobe that hasn't seen the light of day for a very long time. I can just do it up on the last hole, i can't wait till I can do it up tighter - that will be a measure on how I am going!
Well must go get the boys off to school - hope everyone has a great day:)
Tuesday, September 5
My problem is that on Thursday's (weigh in day) it's pretty much a 'free' day, I don't eat breakfast before I weigh in, which means that I am starving by the time the meeting is over, I also do my grocery shopping straight after the meeting and eat take away for lunch - then end up with something naughty for tea, because I've been out all day!
This weeks plan of attack is to take something (maybe yogurt) to have once I have weighed in, so by the time I start my shopping I will have something in my tummy - instead of buying something for lunch - I will bring something from home. And I won't be buying crap that will turn into leftovers for Friday's eat fest!!
I really think that if I follow this plan (and I WILL follow it) that I can have a decent loss, at the moment I am working my ass off Mon - Wed to lose the kilo or so that I gain on thurs/fri/sat. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY NOT WORKING!!!
In the past 12 weeks I have lost FOUR Kilos, which is great, but I want to lose more than that in the next 12 weeks.
Don't get me wrong, I am happy with my losses that I have had - but I feel it's time to get a bit tougher with myself! I want to wear those new clothes!!!! ( stamping my feet...lol)
Wish me Luck:)
Friday, September 1
Firstly I would like to say a huge congratulations to Jodie and Jamie on the birth of Zoe Marie -
I lost 300g this week (it's creeping down slowly) Which leaves 3.4 to lose in 7 weeks!!
I have decided that if I make this goal, I will buy a pair of new runners! * I just realised that getting down to 78 kilo's will mean 20 kilo's lost in total!!
A couple of months ago, when I cleaned my wardrobe I put a whole heap of clothes into a basket in the back - things that were way to small, or just tight enough that I am not comfortable wearing out. While I was looking for some shoes with a heel to wear with my jeans ( which are still slightly to long) I found the basket and tried a few things on, some things are still tight - some 3/4 pants I need to lose about an inch around my tummy for them to fit.
So when I lose a few more kilo's - I will have a 'new' wardrobe of things to wear - which is very exciting, as alot of the clothes have not even been worn yet!!
In the past I have brought clothes just a little smaller because I was going to be able to fit in them in a few weeks ( who was I kidding!!) I don't do that anymore!!
I hope you all have a great weekend:)
Tuesday, August 29
Last year I was 83 kilo's on my birthday. My goal for this year is to be down to at least 78 kilo's. I would be totally thrilled!! I want this to be the last year, ever, being in the 80's - I want to say goodbye forever!
To do this I need to lose an average of 400g a week - which I think is very attainable. I CAN do this!!
Things have been going fine this week - I still had a hard time on the weekend, we had some unexpected visitors from Tassie come to visit - and they brought a yummy cake to have with coffee. Then we all went out for dinner. It was nice to see them, it had been a few years ... and it was only one day of eating to much - I have been really good since! so I am not going to stress about it!!
I have been keeping an eye out to see how Jodie is going, hopefully bubs will be here really soon... very exciting!!
Hope everyone is having a great day:)
Friday, August 25
My main problem lately is too much snacking on weekends - so this week I aim to be more 'aware' of my eating like I do Mon-Wed. I am very close to being out of the 80's... so I just wanna do my best to get there!!
Because I'm a little scared that something may trigger me to go back to old eating habits, I have got out my healthy/diet books to give me a boost of motivation: I always feel so motivated reading about people who have succeeded (thats why I love reading all your blogs!)
This week I have been reading 'Make the Connection' with Oprah and her trainer Bob Greene. Many of the changes they suggest I do already - but one thing that I have picked out from the book is to exercise with more intensity. Bob says that doing 20 mins at a higher intensity is better than an hour on the treadmill - just cruising ( which I have been doing) - so I will be upping the intensity this week!
Something that excited me this week (it doesnt take much...lol)
A few years ago I did lite-n-easy for a few weeks (got to expensive) and my favorite meal was 'Thai yellow chicken curry'. Every so often I think about going back on the program - just for that meal! I was excited to find that weight watchers has a new meal 'Yellow chicken curry' which I had for tea the other night - which was just as yummy as the original (and it had more vegies in it) So I have brought another one this week:)
I was watching A Current Affair last night and they were talking about a new book Healthy Parent/Healthy Child which looked really interesting - from what I can understand it is written by weight watchers, but it is about getting the family healthy - it is supposed to be in most bookstores, so I will be interested in having a look. As the mother on the show said 'I don't want my kids growing up worrying about weight issues like she did' - She had been overweight as a child up to her 20's!
I don't want my boys having to deal with all this stuff either - especially since there are quite a few of larger people on both my side and Vic's side of the family!
Today Jason and Luke had to Dress Up as a favorite book character - they both went as Harry Potter - here are some photo's we took before they went to school:-
Friday, August 18
It has been 10 weeks since I started tracking my food everyday, getting serious about my weightloss and exercise. This is the first time I have stuck continuely to exercise for this long. I have heard that it takes 6 weeks to form a new habit. I think it's true as exercise doesn't seem like the 'chore' it used to be. I don't try to find excuses to put it off anymore. It is just part of my day. I even exercised both days last weekend - another 1st for me!!
This week I lost 500g - (I am 1.7 away from being in the 70's!!)
Yesterday
after weigh in I met my sister, and my
little nephew for lunch at a pizza/pasta resturant that I used regularly frequent a few years ago.
I used to order a entree gnocchi carbonara, and could have sides as well. Yesterday I could only get through 1/2 of the meal.
(and I had not even had breakfast!) - I ended up feeding most of the meal to my nephew!
To celebrate my loss I brought myself a pair of jeans - they were reduced to $20 then at the register they came to $15... love
a bargin. I have to get them put up (the short arse that I am..lol) so I wont pick them up to next week.
I've had a rule lately about not buying any more clothes until I lose more weight - but at the moment I am living in daggy trackie pants at home - and if I venture out I only have one pair of good pants that fit nicely. I have realised that lately feeling daggy has stopped me from doing things - like I just wait for the kids in the car when they get out of school instead of going in if I am looking
daggy! On the other hand, it has stopped me popping into the milkbar for chocolate during the week:)
I hope everyone has a great weekend - Luke is staying at a friends house tonight, so it will be nice and quiet with only one child at home:)
Sunday, August 13
Jason was so excited to meet and talk to his idol - Jason Jonhson!!
It was nice that he took the time to talk and he also signed the boys scarf's and books - and posed for a photo:)
At the end all the guy's stayed for ages and signed autographs for everyone - Jason got everyone on his football, both the boys got their books signed as well:)
The boys are still on a high...lol
Friday, August 11
The last few days I have been really good with the exercise - And I am planning to continue, as I don't really lose when I don't exercise!
Tommorrow we are going down to the Essendon football club - Jason and Luke have a auskick footy clinic, and they get to meet some players...they are so excited!
It will be nice to go back there - before we moved up here we used to spend alot of time at Windy Hill, since all Hubby's mates are one eyed supporters (unfortunately I will miss out on a sleep in as we have to leave home at 9am:(
I've been tagged by Lou - I will have to go and have a think..... I will be back:)
The people that have been tagged need to write in their blog about 5 weird things/habits and then tag 5 more people - you need to leave them a message to let them know they are 'tagged':)
I will tag.... Margaret, Michelle, Briony, Jodie and Mary
Ok I have thought about it:
1. I have four brothers and three sisters aged between 31 and 3 - but I am really an only child.
2. I love ironing!! I just love watching the creases smooth out:)
3. I hate clutter!! I like things put in their place - but I really hate doing housework!
4. I hate nuts, I can't even use the same knife that has been used in peanut butter...eeeewww - but I love satay sauce, and snickers bars:)
5. I have known my husband since I was 4 years old!
Monday, August 7
It's a weird feeling that there will definetly be no more babies - We both don't want any more, we are way past the baby thing - but sometimes when you all talk of your pregnancies or I see the baby photo's - I think...maybe, ....which pretty quickly turns into NO!
- the fact it is final is a little sad:)
On to brighter things - have worked out a proper exercise plan, and have stuck to it today! - We went out for dinner twice over the weekend and it was not diet friendly, so I really need stick to it and eat like an angel the next few days (and hopefully have a small loss - or stay the same)
The last few days for lunch I have been making a 'salad' - lettuce, tommato, onion, red cabbage with a little kraft free ceaser dressing topped with 1 chopped rasher of bacon, and a chopped egg ( I am really loving eggs at the moment, we have chooks so they are nice and fresh, and free) It ends up a huge bowl - is so yummy and really fills me up! - today I tried it with kraft free mayo instead, but it wasnt as nice! - maybe I will try some mustard next time:)
Well hubby just got home - see you all later:)
Saturday, August 5
I have to keep this short - Hubby went and had a vesctomy yesterday, and is very sore - now I have to play nurse - it will be a very quiet weekend!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend - it's nice and sunny here today!
Will post more when Vic is feeling better:)
Wednesday, August 2
We had a pretty busy weekend with Luke having his friend stay for their first sleep over - they were quite loud..and had a great time!
Last week at weigh in I stayed the same which is pretty good - but I have hovered around the same number for a few weeks now....that needs to change!!
I have had Vic at home on Monday and Tuesday, as he had to get a few tests done at the doctors - he is waiting for results (it's nothing serious) but he is getting stressed out with the waiting - which has got me a little stressed because he is - does that make sense!
With him being home, it's been hard getting all the excercise in - I have made plans to make a bigger effort next week:)
Well I will post my loss tommorrow (fingers crossed)
Hope everyone is having a great week - I have read alot of posts - but not really had time to comment:)
Tuesday, July 25
This is the view from the window of my computer room;
Having the sun out really boost's my mood!!
I would like to send a huge thankyou to ChubbyMum for being a 'sounding board' in the past few days - especially with the 'issue' I've been having with my Dad
I hope you are feeling much better - and that you had a proper rest yesterday:)
She has encouraged me to talk about what I am feelings, instead of keeping it all in (and making me go crazy...lol) - and it has really helped make my head feel so much clearer...does that make sense??
..On that note, I will let you know what has ben going through my head lately to make me feel blah...
I started 'again' to get serious about weightloss 6 weeks ago, the reason was that I had got up to 87 kilo's which really scared the beejeezes out of me - especially knowing that I got to 75 kilo's around my 30th birthday! - that was also the same time that Nan died ~ so it was a time of alot of stress and emotional eating.
But getting on the scales at 87 kilo's really gave me a wake up call that if I didn't do something the numbers would just keep going up and up!! Which has made me put more effort in - alot of my clothes were/are tight and looked horrible with rolls showing - and some tops didn't even fit anymore, so my wardrobe has been getting very dull. At the moment it's mainly down to daggy trackies and loose tops. In the last 6 weeks I have got down to 83.5 kilo's - I should be happy (I am that the numbers are going down) but I am still feeling very fat and frumpy, I don't feel like going out looking like this - which is a tad depressing!
I would have loved to go meet all the bloggers in the city last weekend - the main reason I didn't go was because of how I am feeling about myself, and what I percieve others will think about me ( did I mention I'm also very shy!) - very silly I know!
The fact that nothing much has been happening workwise isn't really boosting my self esteem either. Tommorrow I am starting a vounteer job at school working in the office on wednesdays while one of the office girls is on leave - which will be fun:)
Now that I have got all that out - I am feeling more motivated to exercise and get this weight down - so I can feel better about ME and my appearance, then when the next meet is arranged I won't be as scared to go!!
If you have read down this far you deserve a medal...lol
Hope all are having a great day:)
Monday, July 24
I spent most of Saturday helping Jason make a game about whales for a school project. He did it using my scrapbooking stuff - it turned out quite well:) Now he has the bug..lol...he wants to make one about cars next:)
Here's a picture;
I wasn't feeling to well Saturday night/most of Sunday - I had a headache, felt dizzy and nausea. So no exercise done. I did do some comfort eating - but I didn't go stupid, which means my weight is sitting about the same as I was on Thursday. So if I work hard the next few days I should record a loss...fingers crossed xx
Well Now I have to go do all the housework that I avoided over the weekend:)
Thursday, July 20
I'm not really sure why I was feeling so down through the week, I had been on a 'roll' with everything for 5 weeks! ( that is the longest time I have stuck to this for ages) and I just kinda fell into a 'slump' which easily reverted to old eating habits ( comfort food!)
......... Isn't it amazing how quickly we can fall into those old eating patterns!!
I really had thoughts during the last few day's of giving up - that I am sick of having to watch what I am eating, it just seems so hard sometimes! BUT don't worry I have no intention of doing that at all:)
Luckily I still did all my exercise ( it has turned into a normal part of my day now) so at weigh in today I 'turtled' which means I stayed the same as last week ( which I didn't mention last week was a .1 gain) ....but my thinking today has been that this is really not good enough!! I really want to get losing properly again... so I am determined to record a loss next week!
I think I let things get to me to much - and I end up so depressed about what is going on in my life! ( there is one issue going on that I can't really discuss here) Tonight I sat down and had a scotch and (diet) coke with hubby - the first time I have had a drink in ages! It was really nice to sit and relax:) ......but now I am wide awake and it's after midnight..lol
Well I might go have a read up on what you all have been up to!!
Tuesday, July 18
I have nothing to complain about ~ I have my health, my husband, my two boys - I really have alot to be thankful for!
I have just finished watching the Kylie interview - so am all teary again:)
At the moment my thoughts are with Emily & Johnny *hugs*
Monday, July 10
Friday, July 7
I lost .9 this week ~ that makes 4 weeks in a row!!
About the bio oil: I am not sure if it is doing anything on the stretchmarks yet ( as it has only been a week) but my skin feels so soft. I have two tiny scars in between my belly button and just under the breast bone ( from gallbladder keyhole surgey) and they are looking much lighter!
I saw my sister yesterday - she works at a childcare centre, and has caught chicken pox - so she is planning to use the bio iol on her scars that she has been scratching at!
...More excting news this week - my niece that just got married has announced that she is pregnant - due on 26th Feb next year! So two new babies arriving in our family!!
Hope all of you have a great weekend!!
Monday, July 3
My friend Marg passed away on thursday, which is quite sad ~ at least she is not in any pain anymore. The funeral is on Wednesday.
The positives this week;
My niece ( on Vic's side) eloped and got married this weekend - which is kinda cool:)
I lost .2 - that is my 3rd loss in a row!
For the last few weeks my head has been in the right place ~ and things just seem so much easier! I have so much energy lately.
I also have been taking more care with my skin ~ cleansing and moisturising, and I have been using bio oil on my stomach.
I have been reading that '30 mins exercise in the morning is equivelent to 1 hour in the afternoon', so now that the boys are back at school I will be doing 30 min on my airwalker as soon as I come in from taking them to school.
Hope everyone is going well:)
Sunday, June 25
Have had a busy weekend - we brought some crushed rock to put down on the driveway - one side was fine, but where Vic made it bigger a few months ago ( where he parks his car) was dirt - and in this weather was turning muddy. So I helped rake (which was a bit of a workout) - and it looks so much better!!
Went to my sisters today for an undercoverware party, it was nice to catch up with all the girls in the family ( while all the kids were off doing something with their fathers). The best part was;
My brothers girlfriend announced that they are pregnant!!!! - she is due in December!
She had a miscarriage 18 months ago - but things are going fine this time:) It is so exciting...My brother is going to be a dad!!
Well it's way past my bedtime ~ will catch up with you all soon:)
Monday, June 19

A while ago, Kirsty put it to us to find a unflattering photo to post to motivate us -
I finally found one!
It was taken at a friends wedding a few years ago.
This was one of the only photo's I can find of me at my heaviest - 98 kilo's.
I actually still have that shirt - will have to get a photo taken with how it fits now. In the photo I had to wear something underneath, because it was tight against the bust!
The school holidays have started well, we have been having air popped pop corn for snacks instead of chips - which is great!!
I have a friend I talk to on MSN messenger - we were talking about how we don't do well over the weekends - (I weigh thurs and she weighs fri) so we have decided to tell each other our monday weight - to make us behave over the weekend! It has helped me this week!!
Hope everyone is going well, and all those on holidays are having a great time!!
Friday, June 16
Wednesday, June 14
Things going ok here - not much exercise this week as I have had the boys home sick - but eating is going well!
Just hope it stays that way over the school holidays...a real struggle time for me!
...How excting Kate had her sweet little girl Natalia Raine, yesterday !!
Friday, June 9
We were all given a copy of our photo yesterday - and unfortunetly the camera does not lie... the fat around my middle is terrible!
I'm happy they only used head shots in the album...hehe
I definately don't want my body to look like this anymore!!
Even though this is not my heaviest photo at 98 kilo's ( will have to find that one and post it) This is the heaviest that I have been - I have hovered around this weight for around three years now!! REALITY CHECK... things are not working...things need to change!!
I am still in the right headspace to make these changes...and changes I will make...this time for good!!
I picked up a book while I was in coles yesterday - Karen Hobbs 2nd book~the 28 day meal planner...I am really bad at sticking to daily plans, but I have gone though them and worked out my dinners for the week starting 15th June ( I did this weeks shopping yesterday) Main meals is where I have tended to 'stuff up' lately. I have been getting bored with what I am making...I even considered getting the light and easy meals for a while - I have had them before (4yrs ago) and the dinners are lovely but it is just too expensive when I am not working as much as I would like ( it's only 2-3 times a fortnight at the moment)
I am really looking forward to the meals next week - they include noodles with beef and carrot, beef supreme, chicken cannelloni, sweet and sour chicken and zucchini and cheese pasta!
The problem now is waiting till next week...lol
Edit: Jasons blog is at http://jasonraymondsmith.blogspot.com/
Tuesday, June 6
So my week has been very quiet.
Not stressing about numbers on the scale is making life a whole lot easier - feeling 'free' at the moment...hehe
Things are going well with excerise and water...slowly getting up to two litres a day. Eating is ok..I am finding myself wanting nice warm comfort food~have been pretty good, except for a little blowout on the weekend ( but not gunna stress about that!)
Have been busy helping Jason make a blog page of his own - he has watched me do mine and wanted to have a go! The way he is on the computer he will be teaching me more soon!
He is very happy about the no glasses - the fact Harry Potter wore them did help a little, he got upset about kids teasing at school though. Luke doesn't need glasses - but has always wanted them because his brother had them!!
Well I have to go finish working out my shopping list for the week - hope everyone is having a great day!!
Thursday, June 1
Jason had an eye appointment the other day ( he has been wearing glasses to read, since half way through prep) he was so happy to find out that he no longer has to waer them ~ a very excited boy...lol ~ he also had a grading in Karate..so now he has two brown bars on his green belt!
We have been busy helping make a castle for Jason's homework~ which took ages! I don't know how you mothers that work full time, get everything done!!
This week Luke has to make a person ~ I am so glad I am not working the next few days!!
I weighed in this morning and I have lost another kilo ~ taking the tablets has really helped with the cravings. A friend sent me a yogaltes dvd which I hope to do a few times a week!
I am managing 1 - 2 litres of water a day ~ I find not stressing about the water is helping get it down ( if that makes sense?)
I think I am finally in the right 'headspace' for weightloss at the moment!
I was laying in bed the other night thinking ( as you do!) I am not happy with how fat I am feeling...my work skirt is starting to get tight, aswell as my vest - my shirt is actully pulling at the bust...I am lucky that the vest covers it!!
My goal at the moment it to be able to breathe properly in my work clothes ~ I am not going to focus on a number ~ I just want to be happy with how I am looking!!
I am going to a wedding in the middle of October, and I would love to be able to wear something nice and flattering...If I was to go this weekend, I would have nothing I am comfortable to wear!
...And of course it is my birthday near the end of Oct too!
Catch up with you all soon XX

Wednesday, May 24
Things have been pretty busy workwise - which is great for the bank balance...when I get home I have no time on the computer with Jason hogging it up! He really went through withdrawls when it was broken...lol
Things have been better eating wise...I have done some exercise, though only drinking 1 litre of water - I am finding that really hard!
I am still taking those metabolism tabs - don't know if they are making any difference - I have not been craving things as much....but this may just be in my head!
I will have to keep this short - Luke is home not feeling to well!
Hope everyone is going well:)
Thursday, May 18
I am very 'annoyed' ( that's a nice way to put it) at myself that I let it get that bad. I have done my shopping today and have lots of healthy food - I WILL have a better week this week!!
I also brought some blackmores Metabolism advantage, because they were on special - so I will be giving them a go starting tommorrow - I am using them as a kickstart to get back on track!!
I hope everyone else is doing well, I will update more later:)
Monday, May 15
I have really missed not being able to post - and read everyones elses, as it is so much easier to stay on track with the support that we all give each other!
Eating is not going so good at the moment, I had a few bad days - which turned to weeks, so I really need to get focused again. I am finding it hard to get back into the water again ( I used to drink 3 litres, now am only getting though 1) - I think the colder weather is not helping! I have not been out walking due to rain, and afternoons getting darker.
My friend Marg is still going well in pallitive care, another local lady who was loved by the whole town died unexpectantly last week which has really shocked the whole town - her funeral was on Friday it was one of the biggest that I have been to.
It has made me really realise that life is way to short - I don't want to spend the time I have unhappy about myself!
Hope you all had a great mothers day, my husband actually shocked me by making a reservation!!! something he has never done before. We went to a chinese resturant in Essendon that we used to go to before the boys were born, and he also had a lovely bunch of flowers waiting - will post a pic when I have put the software on the computer.
Well i must go get the rest of this computer set up!
Hope all is well with everyone:)

Thursday, April 27
she has been a great inspiration to read, and I can't wait to see how maintence goes for her:)
Today it was only a little loss - .1
I am happy with a loss!!
My friend is still being kept comfortable ~ thanks for all your good wishes!!
This will have to be a quick post - Jason is away at camp, and Luke is lonely so I will go and play with him!
Hope everyone is having a great day:)
Monday, April 24
It has been a busy week - the kids don't go back to school till wednesday, so it is feeling like the weekend still.
My friend, Margaret, that I mentioned a few weeks ago, was put back in hospital during the week - the tumor is growing again and she has had a minor stroke on the side of her body. So things are not going well. She was moved to pallitive care over the weekend - so they are just doing their best to keep her comfortable. Going to see her has brought back memories of being with Nan during her final days...very sad!
My Nan would have been 91 last thursday.
On a brighter note - I am doing well with my exercise, eating is just ok!
Hope you all have a great holiday tommorrow:)
Monday, April 17
I spent some great quality time with my sisters on Saturday - the rest of the weekend I caught up with alot of spring cleaning - the main thing was a huge cupboard that is 1/2 a linen press the other half just full of stuff, the kids were to scared to open the door as things always fell out...lol
It was a huge job, but it is lovely now!! there is even room to put more suff in!
I washed all the sheets that were in there too, aswell as all the other washing that needed to be done - I was so proud this morning that ALL washing was done and put away. The boys got home a few hours ago - so it's all piled up again!!
I also cooked a few meals to put in the freezer for when I don't have time - or can't be bothered cooking.
I had done very well not eating choccie all weekend! the boys brought home chocolate which is broken up in the fridge, which I have been picking at...naughty me!! That's why I came up here to blog instead.
I forgot to mention that I lost .7 last week, which is a total of 1.8 since the new sart of my weight loss journey (from 1st April)
Tonight I am cooking beef and blackbean from Annette Syms cookbook!!
...Did I mention that am loving cooking again??
Well enough rambling from me!!
Tuesday, April 11
Yesterday after school the boys and I went the the local park and did 2 laps around the oval before we went home, they enjoyed doing it so I am going to try and make it a regular thing!
I am enjoying cooking again, I have leftover portions in the freezer - so the food side of things is going really well. Hubby is taking the boys camping for a few days over Easter, and I will be sending the eggs with them, so I won't be left with a fridge full of chocolate. So hopefully I can come away with out to much damage over the weekend *wink*
Hope you all are having a great week:)
Friday, April 7
I weighed in yesterday and recorded a loss of 1.1kg which I am very happy about!
The weigh in group I go to have a slimmer of the year thingy like weight watchers - the difference being we have a winner in each group - then a winner for the whole state. The start of our 'year' is the 1st of april - so any weight lost from now is counted, so it is a new 'year' for me so I am off to a good start!! I would really love to be the Queen for this coming year ( which is slimmer of the year for wwers) so that is what is keeping me focused!!
Today was walk to school day, so I have done two walks as well as working from 9am to 3pm - today we had a big conference so did alot of lifting chairs and moving tables which means alot of exercise done for me!
Tonight we are having Sue's chow mein for tea - it is cooking at the moment and smells divine!
I hope you all have a great weekend ~will catch up on some blogs over the weekend!
Tuesday, April 4
The past few days have been going along really well, I have been drinking 3 litres of water everyday and I have walked every morning with the other ladies.
It is amazing how much things you can get done in the day when you are feeling in control!
Things have just seemed so much easier and motivtion is here...lol
I have to confess this week I have been 'faking it' ... for dinner I have been having frozen meals to help keep within portion sizes - a thing I was having alot of trouble with! I have been making a better effort with my lunches, having things like pita wraps or pita pizzas!
I went though all my recipies from various blogs and have planned my dinners for the next week, I am also planning to make a bit pot of pumpkin soup :)
I am glad to say that I am officially back on track!!!
Friday, March 31
A dear friend was put in hospital a couple of weeks ago with a brain tumor - if it was not operated on she only had 3 weeks left - they operated and got 95% of it, but she may only have 3 months. A very upsetting time!
My father in law was told he has at least 4 years, which in a way is a bit of a relief - but still scary.
Lately I have found myself slipping back into my old habits - eating more takeaway than I have for ages, snacking more, not drinking enough water and being too relaxed about exercise ~and feeling a bit depressed about it all, the result being that my skin is feeling terrible, I have been tired and irritable and I am up a few kilo's - to top it off I have a cold now!!
The kids are back at school so I have started walking with the other Mums again and I am drinking water - I just need to sort myself out foodwise now:)
Enough rambling from me:)
Hope you all have a great weekend!!
Friday, March 17

I slept in today which means I missed out on my morning walk ~ I have been feeling crappy about missing exercise!! I know on Monday the girls will be telling me off for not turning up!
Today is hubby's birthday ~we woke him with his presents! The kids have spent part of today decorating a cake for him (so there is icing all over the kitchen!!)
Last night I took the kids to the circus which is on near my Dad's place ~most of the family came, except for Dad. The kids loved it as it was the first one they have been to. We got home very late (which is why I slept in :)
Well hubby is due home soon ~ so better go get things cleaned up!!
Wednesday, March 15
My Dad had some trouble with his knee so I was helping him before he got operated on, the op was last Friday and he is doing really well!
My father in law isn't doing to good at the moment either, his prostrate problem is flaring up and he is getting other tests done - which included a bone scan. We are worried about him, especially yesterday when he sent all his old personal papers to us ~ makes us think he is giving up!
The boys are on holidays now, because of the commonwealth games ~ so the ladies I walk with decided to walk earlier in the morning, so for the last week I have been getting up at 5.30 am to go walking!! A big shock o the system...lol
We will go back to walking at 9am when the kids go back to school:)
Not much else has been happening~just having fun spending time with my boys:)
Friday, March 3
Although it's just been over a week, it seems like forever since I got online!
My computer cracked it yet again - so was in getting fixed.
So where to start!
I did gain a kilo last week - as expected, so I was fine with it:)
This week I have stayed the same, which is good as I worked all week and ate both lunch and dinner at work: it is very hard knowing what goes into food that someone else is cooking, and we all sit down to eat together - and I don't want to upset the chef..lol
- but I have been doing ok, having small portions and filling my plate with salad or vegies!
Work has been going well - no more sackings...thankfully:)
A group of mothers from school have started walking after they drop the kids off - so I have joined in too, they do it every school morning, so if I am not working I will be there!
I am also planning on going for a walk at night after tea, so with two lots of walking and doing my toning ball exercises - I should be really fit!
The days I work I will walk at night only, and night work will be the morning walk - because just being at work burns enough for the walk I would be missing - does that make sense?
Well I am starting to ramble...lol
I am off to find ou what you all have been up to:)
Wednesday, February 22
Had a bit of shocking news this afternoon, my best friend who I also work with (- who helped me get the job I am now at) she recently got a promotion, which made her full time (I am a casual) rang to say she had just got fired! She doesn't even know why -just walked into the office and was told 'off you go'!
I don't have a shift till tommorrow night - I am a little worried about what it will be like at work!
Talking of work - LeeAnne asked if I wore my pedometre to work - I did once for a wedding and the steps were 10364, which is alot of steps!
I don't take my camera to work - but I might have to start if the weddings get interesting - I have to admit it is never boring at work. I am hoping I will be there for a while!!
Well Vic just got home - so I'll go for a walk to try and minimise tommorrows gain:)
P.S Happy birthday to my baby brother , malcolm - he is 17 today!!
Monday, February 20
Vic's wrist is feeling much better, but he is still being careful with it.
I didn't get to weigh in this week, as I had to take Vic for his check up - I was up on Friday morning at home, but I did have a big dinner wed night - which I normally would not do night before weigh in!
I worked another wedding sat night - the groomsmen all ran around the room nude towards the end which was a bit of a laugh!!
The other day I brought a toning ball, from coles around $8. I saw the guys on biggest loser using the medicine ball, and thought I would like to get one for my granny arms - this one is smaller, and came with a sheet of exercises! I can really feel the muscles I don't normally use in my arms - so I think that it is working!!
Well I am going to go read some blogs:)
Wednesday, February 15
Tuesday, February 14
Here is a photo of the flowers that were just delivered!!
( very handy for me that Vic's supervisor's wife owns the local florist, and he takes orders at work ..eh)
Hope all are having a great day!
We got the antenna back on the roof, just before biggest loser started - so I did not miss it after all:) Huge thanks to our neighbour! I rewarded him with a whole lot of fundraising chocolate that arrived home with the boys yesterday! - the rest of it went to work with Vic this morning:)
Now that the photo thingy is working again I will scan the photo's I found the other day - I also got my son to take some this morning, this time I am wearing a fitted top which shows more bulges, which I hate - but I will be able to tell the difference more when I lose more weight!!
Not much planned for us tonight - we don't go out for Valentines day since our anniversary is on the 24th of this month! But I have made lasagne and garlic bread for tea which is Vic's favorite:)
Monday, February 13
At the hospital the Dr thought that it may have been broken, but xray showed that the ligaments are badly sprained and he strapped the wrist firmly.
Vic is one of those (annoying) people that never sits down, so it has been hard on him being one handed - and made him quite grumpy too! It didn't help that last night the tv antenna fell off the roof,(which means no tv at all, maybe for a few days!!) and he can't do anything about it with one hand - so I will most likely miss the first biggest loser tonight ~ not happy!
He has gone back to work today (light duties) and will just take things easy.
Last night I was going through old notebooks and things, and I found some of my fat photo's and some really motivating quotes, which I will post soon!
~since my computer has been playing up, it hasn't let me post photo's - they don't load properly in flickr. But I will post them when I can!
I have been reading a few blogs this morning ~ it sounds like the girls that met up in Sydney had a great time! I wish I could have gone too :) Maybe all you girls should come down to melb!!
Hope you are all having a great week:)
Friday, February 10
Monday, February 6
On Sunday I moved all my stuff upstairs, I now have a computer desk area, a space for my scrapbook and cross stitch things - and a table with shelves underneath - the boys toys are on the shelves, which leaves the top for my scrapbooking - and for the boys to do homework!
I even have a corner for my minitramp!
I am loving having my own room already!! (can you tell!!)
In response to Mary's question; what did I do differently this week? Well I stared exercising again, and I spent alot of time cleaning out my 'new' room - which kept me occupied, which means no time to snack...lol!
On this weeks weight loss - I did eat a bit to much Friday night, and have snacked my way through the weekend! So today I am going 'back to basics' - to try and stop too much damage!
I am already on my 3rd litre of water and have done 40 mins airwalker - so things looking good today:)
Friday, February 3
Thankyou for your comments regarding the in laws situation.
Vic got home from work late wednesday night - after a few drinks with he guys, so he was in a good mood when he got home! So fortunetly there were no explosions over here:)
After disscussing the situation, instead of Vic ringing up - then probably ending up in a yelling match, which normally happens. I dedcided to write a letter to FIL from me giving our side of the story, and including that it's hard for Vic as he is stuck in the middle of all the bickering - and that he can't do anything from over here! And the only reason he said anything was because he was sticking up for his father!!
The letter will probably get there on Monday ~ so we will just see what happens from there!
Today is my Dads birthday (52nd) so we will be going to spend family time with him tonight!
Hope you all have a great weekend:)
Wednesday, February 1
I just recieved a letter from my father in law!
You don't have to read the little print, I needed to vent!
When FIL went on the boat to home, hubby rang his sister ( who (FIL-Ray) lives with) all she ever does is put FIL down, when Vic said that he was on the way home, and that he had had a nice visit, her reply was 'silly old prick' - which of course sent Vic into a temper! When Ray was here he was telling us how vic's brother in law has been pushing him around, and that he wants to move out - the problem is that all his money is tied up in their house. He wants his money back, but they won't get a loan out to pay him off! Vic was livid that BIL has been pushing him around (physically) and sister is letting it happen - so he told his sister if it happens again he will be on their doorstep with a baseball bat! ( and break BIL kneecaps) - He also added before the conversation finished that if Ray was told that he had called 'shit would hit the fan' - she promised that nothing would be said, and that BIL would not touch him again!
So I got this letter today saying they told him as soon as he got home ( which Vic is going to be wild at them) and that he better write an apology to his sister!
I am going to have to be careful about when I give him this letter! He is going to explode!!
I spent a fair bit of yesterday cleaning up the spare room (not really in the mood to do any more today) I have thrown out alot of stuff and sorted things out which is great. Normally when we 'clean' the room - it's mostly surface cleaning, but this time I am going through all the boxes (huge job!)
Talking to hubby last night - we have decided once I am done, we are going to paint the room - then I will move my computer stuff, aswell as my scrapbook and cross stitch things - which hubby is happy about, as it will ge rid of alot of 'clutter' in the lounge and dining areas! Which he admitted that he has hated the stuff everywhere for ages!
As there will be no TV up there - this will be the place for the boys to go up and do their homework quietly. I will have a table up there so they can spread out posters, and not have to move it all because we are having dinner! - And I can use it for scrapbooking!
We had great fun working out how to change the dining area - once my stuff is out of the way:)
Well weigh in tommorrow - I am hoping for a good result, as I have exercised for 3 days in a row!!
Hope everyone is going well! - I am feeling calmer now! It feels good to vent:)
Will update tommorrow with my weigh in results:)
Monday, January 30
I exercised!
I am happy to report that for the first time (this year) I have actually done some planned exercise (shocking, I know)...And I feel so great for doing it!
Lately I think (know) I have been avoiding exercise...all I needed to do was to start (..who woulda thought it would be that easy:)
Looking over my diary - I noticed that I kinda didn't track my eating over the last few weeks - I only started properly this Saturday (very slack, I know) - no wonder I have not been getting anywhere much weight wise!
The boys go back to school tommorrow (yay!) We are all organised! Luke can't wait to go back - Jason is not as enthusiastic!!
Last week we had Antenna guys over to connect an antenna to Vic's shed ( will be great during footy season!) While they were here I got them to look at the connections in the boys rooms - apparently they were not connected properly by previous owners. So now the boys have their own tv's which means they have not used the 'playroom' upstairs. I am planning to clean the room out - it still has boxes from when we moved in ( before I was pregnant with Luke!)
I want to throw out all the broken toys, and get rid of things we won't use any more - as I see it, if we have not missed the things in boxes for this long - we probably don't need it! I might even put a table up there for my scrapbooking!
I also need to go in and clean the boys rooms - to get rid of alot of junk they have accumulated over the holidays. Luke's is the worst - he is a hoarder (like his mum!)
So it sounds like a busy week planned for me:)
Hope all are having a great week!
Friday, January 27
I weighed in yesterday with a little .1 loss - I did not expect it to be much as not much exercise has been happening latley. Also it was my father in laws 77th birthday on tuesday - so we took him out to the pub for tea, then came home to have cake - and I did have some:)
He is going home tonight on the boat (to tassie)- so I will be able to get back into the exercise TOMMORROW!
We went out to a friends for a BBQ last night (for Australia day) and I had a few drinks - so with a mini hangover and this heat - my head is POUNDING!
The boys are back at school on tuesday - so I will be able to get back ino a daily routine, which will be great!
Well I'm off to read a book in a cool bath!
Hope everyone is having a great week:)
Monday, January 23
I am really doing it basic at the moment, I will need to reload my photo program - Just need to find the disk ( so it could be a while)
Not being able to read blogs has been so hard ~ I have really missed all of you, not being able to read what people are getting up to.
I weihed in during the week and lost .4 which is not too bad as it's been a really crappy week - Jason has had a bug since last wednesday, and is only just starting to feel normal again - he has not touched the playstation at all - so we knew he was bad!!
It has been hard with the father in law here too - he is a tad annoying - though he does not mean to be; it's just that I am used to having my own space. It has been so hot - but I can't strip down to keep cool...lol and because I have been getting up to Jason during the night - I am very grumpy from lack of sleep!!!
Even hough I did have a loss this week ~ I really need to start getting my act together! I had to wear a skirt to work on Saturday night ( for a wedding) and it is starting to get tight, which is not good, before christmas it fitted ok and I only have one skirt for work - and only intend to buy another when this one is to big!!
I spent the last few days (getting rid of frustration...lol) cleaning out my kitchen cupboards. We had a few dinner sets and glasses still upstairs - which were wedding presents (5 years in feb!)
so I boxed all the old stuff and replaced with all the new. Then I did the tupperware cupboard and found all the lids to the containers and put them all together ( to hubby's delight!)
Nex came the pantry... threw out all the crap!! So now I have a healthy, clean pantry!
I will do the frezzer next...then I will be done ( I clean the fridge out every week)
Well I am off to watch Oprah - she has Kirsty Alley on and it sounds interesting!
Will catch up on blogs this afternoon:)
Hope everyone is doing great!!
Sunday, January 15
This week has flown by!
We took the boys to sovereign hill on friday and the had a great time - because it is school holidays they have free kids activities the boys got to dress up as soldiers and had to get gold off the miners and escort it to the bank - where they got paid gold (chocolate) coins for their services, the pic is the boys in their uniforms:)
They also got to make their own candles and dip them in dye to color them. We went down in the mine - which they boys didn't really like! The place looks the same as it did when I was a child. Next time we will go when daylight savings is over so we can see the southern cross show, it was going to start at 10.30 the other night, which was way to late for the boys.
It has been really nice doing things with the boys ~ very soon they won't want to be out in public with us, so we may as well take advantage of family time when we can...lol
I weighed in on thursday at 82.9 which was a .6 loss!
Eating has only been OK lately with everyone still on holidays - looking at the scales I have been maintaining through the week which is good!
My father in law gets on the boat tomorrow to come from Tassie, so he will arrive here on tuesday - unless he goes and does some visiting before he comes here! I will be nice to see him - the last time he was here was in March! I don't know how I will go when he is here as I can't get on my air walker or mini tramp while he is parked in the lounge room..lol
Well I must go clean out the spare room and make up a bed!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend:)
Wednesday, January 11
Tuesday, January 10
We have taken the kids for day trips into the city, we have had my nieces 5th birthday, a friends 21st and yesterday we went to the funeral of a friends wife - so it was nice to stay home today (and catch up with the housework...lol)
Tommorrow we are going on a river cruise down the Yarra and on thurs or fri we will take the kids to ballarat to visit soverein hill!
Hope everyone is having a great week - I have been reading blogs, but not many comments as I have been so busy:)

2006 - A fresh Start!
New Years day weight was 83.5, which means over Christmas/New years eve I gained 1.4 - which I am pretty happy with, considering I thought it was nearly 3 kilo's!!
Up to now I have lost 14.5 kilo's ( heaviest weight was 98)
I now have 18.5 kilo's left to lose to reach my doctors goal weight of 65 kilo's
( I will see if I wanna go lower when I get there)
I worked out that~
If I was to lose 1/2 a kilo a week, I can easily be at 65 kilo's at the end of september (20th) which is 37 weeks!
My aim for the year is to be at goal of 65, or at least very close by my next birthday (oct 22) That gives me a month leeway as well:)
Looking at it this way, this is very achievable:)
How I will do it~
I have started to re read AJ Rochesters books, and will read Dr Phil again to give me a boost with motivation!
I have also printed out low fat recipes from blogs and the ww website, and gone through my healthy cookbooks and put all our favorites in a note book. Now I have a huge variety of dinners to cook!
I also have put my name down for Paulenes new challenge.
I am also aiming to exercise for at least 30 min per day ( excluding the days I am working) as I am moving the whole time I am at work anyway.
I will stick to drinking my 3 litres of water a day - I don't have much trouble with this one:)
I am feeling really motivated to have a great year - I am not going to worry about what I am eating, just eat healthy - and only when I am hungry:)
...And for something totally un-related...we took the kids to see Chicken Little at the movies today- it was a very funny movie, I recomend everyone to go see it!!
Hope everyone is having a great week:)
Sunday, January 1
Friday, December 30
We have had friends over and spent most of the time drinking with our feet in the pool:)
Tommorrow night we are going out for dinner to a local pub. I won't be drinking much since I have to do the breakfast shift on New Years morning!
~ Don't worry though - I have not gone completely off the rails,
although I did sneak a peek on the scales and I am nearly 3 kilo's up from last weigh in - mind you I am so full of fluid, I can feel it in my hands!
Today when I went to the newsagent to put tatts on, I brought a 2006 Diary that opens 2 days to a page. I will be using it to track my food, as well as other bits and pieces ie. measurements
Lately I have done this in a note book that has been easy to rip out pages if they looked bad!
I will not rip pages out of a diary!!
Since I don't have an official weigh in until 12th Jan, I will weigh myself on the first of Jan. That will be my start weight for the year - I will be cleaning the slate and starting afresh!
Well this will probably be the last post from me this year ~ So I hope everyone has a great New Year for what you all have planned!
I will be back next year with my goals for the new year:)
Thursday, December 29
All over for another year...
Glad to see that we are all starting to come back - and everyone had a great christmas!
I have eaten and drunk quite a few times over the past week!
We had Christmas eve instead at Dad's- which was great with the family together (except one of my brothers)
On christmas day me Vic and the boys had a lovely picnic, it was nice to be able to sit and relax instead of rushing around on the day. In the afternoon my brother and his girlfriend came up to give the boys presents - it was a great day!
The boys got a play station which has kept them very quiet when we have been home..lol
The best present I got was a Hydro bath Spa - a mat you put into the bath and it turns the bath into a spa, and it massages ( I have been having a bath everynight!)
On tuesday we took the boys to a trout farm - and they had a ball fishing! The photo's are above. Luke caught the first one!! These are the first fish the boys had ever caught, so it was a great day for them. We also went through Daylesford and hepburn springs - it's so lovely there!
Yesterday we were back at my Dads, as my Uncle who now lives in Townsville is down for a few days we ended up going out for chinese which was nice ( not for my weight loss though)
I don't weigh in again till the 12th of jan, and I won't be jumping on the scales at home ( if I can help it) either - I feel that I have gained over the week - I have already started eating well again
If I w3eigh the same as I did last week, at my next weigh in I will be really happy!
I was looking through last years weigh in book and I gained 2 kilo's over the christmas period last year ( and 6 kilo's the year before) So to maintain will be great!
Hope all that are still on Holidays are having a great time:)
Friday, December 23
The boys and I spent most of yesterday shopping, I got myself some 3/4 jeans and a few singlet tops for summer. While out I bumped into a friend that we have not seen since our wedding - so we sat and had lunch with her 3 boys, which was really nice!
Tommorrow we are having lunch/dinner and drinkies with my family at my Dads place - so will be doing the present thing with them all!
Then on Christmas Day we are going to a park for a picnic - We have not been to the park since the day I went into labor with Jason!
I will not be stressing about food ~ will no be over indulging either, I am just going to enjoy spending time with my family!
If I don't update till then... I hope everyone has a wonderful stress free christmas!! And that Santa brings you what you want!!
Congratulations to Jodie and Jamie for their early christmas present:)
P.s I weighed in yesterday and gained .8 - I will be better next year:)
Wednesday, December 21
I have been a real slackass the last few days! I had my work christmas party on Sunday, and drank way too much - and have had a constant headache ever since. Which means I have not done much in the way of exercise!
My last weigh in for the year is tommorrow, I am not expecting a loss - mainly for the above reasons!
I brought the ww mag yesterday, and read more about the new program - so I will be giving it a go next week! I really need to get motivated again:)
Hope everyone is going well, and that all your shopping is done and wrapped!
The boys finish school at 1pm today - so I will go and make use of my last few hours of peace:)
Friday, December 16
My new profile pic is me in my work clothes! I was getting sick of looking at the other one..lol
I weighed in yesterday and gained 1.6 which means that I really lost a kilo - as I did not weigh in officially last week. After weigh in the group went out to lunch for christmas, it was a great afternoon. One of the ladies made candy cane raindeers and angels for the tree which are so cute! I will take a photo of them later.
Things are really busy at work, last night was another grade six graduation - it was fun watchinhg he powerpoint presentation they did of all the kids from prep to grade six, they seemed to be all well behaved - but when I was leaving there were jelly and choc mousse cups strewn all through the car park..lol ( only cause I didn't have to clean it up!!)
Tonight we have the wedding party coming for a rehersal and they will stay for dinner - when people get married at the winery they have the ceremony in the gardens - so it should be a fun night. Then on Sat night I will be doing the wedding. So far, according to the roster I have all of next week off:)
Before I go I just want to thank Jodie for sending me the no count list for the new ww program!
I have printed it out a will go through it, and will email you with my questions!
I am excited about starting something new:)
Well must go get my uniform washed for tonight!
Have a great weekend everyone:)
Monday, December 12
I have been busy with work - and we have been to a few christmas parties and a christening in the last few days...I am tired!!
Food has been Ok lately, but I have been drinking alot of alcohol which I do not normally do - and exercise has been pretty slack too!
Today I went and got my licence renewed...and for once I don't mind the photo..lol
and I picked up the last of my layby's - which means chrissie shopping is over...yay!
Sorry this is quick - have to get ready for work tonight:)
To caramel kitkat - thanks for the beauty tip, my sister did a course there last year...I forgot about that place! I will definetly do it:)
Thursday, December 8
I am working today, so cannot get down to weigh in - I weighed myself (unofficially) this morning and I was 2.6 kilo's heavier! I have given myself a stern talking to and my aim this week is too get rid of these two kilo's.
This time in the past is when I would say 'well christmas is coming, I'll try harder after the holidays' ....But I don't want to be heavier in the new year!!
Today - thursday is normally my shopping day, and a 'free day' eating wise - but not today! I have done a plan of my meals for the week. We are going to a chrissie do on Saturday night and I have already said that I will drive so I won't be drinking - there will be dancing which should help with what I eat!
....And I am working four shifts till next weigh in which helps with the exercise - and I will be having dinner before I go so I won't pick at food while I am there
Well those are my plans for the week, Hope everyone is having a great week:)
Monday, December 5
Here is our christmas tree which the boys put up and decorated yesterday!
Friday was a great day, I had a facial - my skin still feels really soft!
and a massage which was just wonderful, I will definatley be having more of those :)
Eating wise was good too - I had a salad wrap, water and green tea during the day.
After the spa we picked the guys up from the pier, and went on a train called the 'blues train' We had a bbq dinner before we got on, the train had 4 carriages and there was a different band in each one. The train stopped every half hour or so, and we all got off and go into our next carriage - it was really fun with everyone up dancing!! I did have a few too many drinks though!
The bad part for me was when we stopped at Mc donalds at 1am on our way home!
On saturday my sister came with me and the boys - and we did christmas shopping, so now I am finished..Yay!!! We ended having take away for lunch, then afterwards we went to my Dads and had more takeaway for dinner...NOT GOOD!!
Yesterday I just ate junk.... I am really missing Vic not being home, so I guess I have been emotional eating!
...But I got up this morning and have gone back to basics - I feel like I have gained heaps, I have not got on the scales...cause I am too scared too!! Last night I had a horrible sleep as I felt so bloated and yuck!! ....What an awful feeling!
Well I better go clean up, Hubby should be home soon:)
Friday, December 2
Weighed in yesterday and lost...wait for it.... .1!
Just scraped through to get my engine ~ I am the only person who has the whole train so far!!
Today is the day we go to the day spa ~ I can't wait for a massage! Afterwards Vic will be going away for the weekend to a fishing competition, and when I pick the kids up from Mum's sometime Saturday, we are going christmas shopping to get something for Vic! Then I have promised the kids they can put up the chrismas tree - they wanted it done yesterday, but they didn't have much time before they went to their Grans!
Well hope all have a great weekend! Not long to christmas now!!
Tuesday, November 29
The wedding Saturday night went well - I remembered to wear my pedometer and the steps from 5.30-12.30 were 10364!! I didn't think it would be that much!
The boys had no school yesterday which was bad for me as I ended up baking cookies for them ... and once I had eaten a few I just grazed food wise for the rest of the day..not good!!
Normally when this kind of thing happens I think to my self - stuff it- I will start again next week!
- But I am really determined for a loss, so I will be really good for the next few days!
I am working tonight - I think it is in the resturant, and then I am doing breakfast Wednesday morning. I will be having my dinner/breakfast before I go - so I won't be hungry and snack while I am there!!
This week is the last engine - so I really want to get it!! When I feel like junk I have been saying to myself 'engine,engine,engine'...lol
Well must go get some housework done - probably won't have time to update till after weigh in on Thursday!! Have a great week:)
Friday, November 25
I lost .4 at weigh in yesterday! The best thing is that it means I am now out of the 80's!! I weighed in at 79.8! Last time I was at this weight was july '04!
Where Jason does Karate, 'Wu lin retreat' (www.jamessumarac.com) You can go for workshops, or just stay. Last night they had a camera crew from 'Getaway' come a do a story on the place. They taped bits of the kids doing karate too which was really fun to watch!
The show will no be on air till next year - Jason is so excited and can't wait!
We got a photo taken of him with the presenter 'Jules' - they gave him a karate uniform to wear, and he tried out a few moves too!
Well I must go get some jobs done - I have a huge list to do!
Hope everyone has a great weekend:)
Tuesday, November 22
I worked on sunday doing lunch which was good, but a bit slow. I enjoyed the wedding better as I was on the move most of the night!
My next rostered night is on sat night - another wedding (yay)
Yesterday I went to centrelink to let them know I was working, had to wait for over an hour - so was not impressed..lol
Afterwards I went and saw my sister, and niece and nephew which was really nice - we see each other on thursday mornings because her kids go to playgroup in the same building that I go to weigh in, it was nice to sit and talk instead of rushed 'what have you been up to!'
my niece is starting school next year and is so excited!!
I have spent most of today catching up on housework that has been very neglected, aswell as all the washing the menfolk brought back from their camping trip! The boys had a ball - and gave Vic alot of grief about having to come home..lol
Tommorrow I am helping a friend, she does cleaning at a bed and breakfast - and when she is busy I go and help - tommorrow I will be doing some mowing. Hopefully that will help with weigh in on Thursday!
Not quite sure how I will go for weigh in, even though the exercise has been good ( I will have to wear my pedometre saturday night!) when I am working they give you lunch or dinner - normally what they are serving guests - and it is not exactly diet friendly!
I have been taking my water with me - and not had dessert, I will just have to see!
I want to lose, so I can get my next carriage..lol
Today I did some airwalker while I was watching the Kylie concert that I taped on Sunday night - it was really good. Now I want the dvd, I may have to put it on my christmas list!
I don't think I mentioned that last week I brought the dove firming range - it was in a box that consisted of a bodywash, for in the shower, a firming cream and a gel for stubbon bits, I paid $20 which I think is a great deal!
I have been using it since Saturday, so far my skin feels really soft - so I will keep going and see how it goes!
Hope everyone is having a great day!
Sunday, November 20
It was a small one - 70 guests. They actually had the ceremony on the grounds as well. We had to serve canapes which was really fun as everybody wanted to talk to the person with the food tray. then when everyone came upstairs we served the food and just kept bringing drinks out - which was all pretty easy. The worst part is at the end of the night we have to polish all the glasses - there were a couple of hundred!!
Once everything was cleared away ( and polished!) we had to set the tables up for breakfast, and put the cereal boxes, and the jugs out! Every shift we do we have to set up for the next one!
I signed off at 1.45am..when I got home I fell asleep very quickly ( and did enjoy playing starfish, Julie..lol)
I am doing a lunch shift today, starting at 12pm. So I am going to make the most of being home alone and go have a nice bath and relax awhile before I am off again!!
Friday, November 18
Had a very rushed day yesterday - drove all the way down to weigh in, then got a phone call from school to pick Jason up as he was throwing up everywhere!
Then when I got home I got a phone call to say I will be working on saturday night ( for a wedding), so I needed to get a black vest! So I had to drag poor Jason down to airport west! He was not throwing up any more, thankfully:)
Today I got called again - I will be working sunday lunch, and I am down for another wedding next saturday!
Vic and the boys are going away for the weekend and I was looking forward to getting a few things done ( and peace and quiet), but now I won't have any spare time:)
The boys are already packed - waiting for their Dad to get home so they can put the stuff in the ute (even though they are leaving in the morning..lol)
Three guys (including Vic) are going with their kids - which will make a total of 8 kids!! I can't wait to see how they get on..lol
The website, with photo's of the winery is at http://www.grangecc.com.au/2005/leisure/gallery.html?=cleveland
I have tried to link it - not sure if it will work!!
Hope you all have a great weekend!!
Wednesday, November 16
I even wore my pedometre for the first time in ages and was on 7825 when I got home!
I have also done 30mins on the air walker this afternoon!
I got what I needed - a work shirt and white bra for underneath, some plain gold hoop earrings as well as leather sandles for $30 down from $70 and at Priceline I got a free Max Factor makeup bag for buying 2 products - I got foundation and a mascara. I also got some t-shirts and two pairs of size 14 3/4 pants which do up, but are a bit snug around the tummy - I am hoping they will be just right when the warmer weather stays!
I am very proud to say that while I was out the only thing I ate was the ao bar that I took with me:)
I have always used the excuse that if I am out, and around a food court that I will buy lunch - today I was happy with my snack and had a nice healthy lunch when I got home!
~ I do think that the fact I have to weigh in tomorrow really helped:)
Tuesday, November 15
It is waitressing at a local winery, they do weddings, confrences and it is also a motel. The best thing is that it only takes 5 minutes to get there!!
I am not sure when I will be starting, as they have not done the rosters yet!
So tomorrow I am going shopping as I only have one white shirt - so I should get another ( any excuse to shop I say) I will be going to highpoint - which is a huge centre, so will be getting heaps of walking done, and I may go to the new DFO at essendon airport too, if time permits!!
Well hope all are having a great day!! - better get back to some housework:(
Saturday, November 12
Friday, November 11
And because I was the highest weight loss for the week, I also got a free weigh in/meeting voucher for next week!
When I was doing my shopping afterwards I wasn't really feeling hungry, I was going to grab a salad roll just because it was noon, but I said to myself why eat if I am not hungry? So I told myself I would get something later!! So no takeaway after weigh in at all!! (for the first time ever!)
I went to my Dads around 1.30 ( I do this every week- he is a shift worker, so is home during the day!) He was cooking vegies with noodles for my little sister - so ended up having a small bowl which was much healthier!
Today I did a dvd that arrived yesterday - line dancing for beginners!
We have an elderly lady at my meeting that does line dancing and she is so fit, so I thought I would give it a go! I can really feel it in my legs - I was a litle un coordinated but with practice I will get there! thats why I got a dvd instead of finding a class.
I brought the dvd from www.LineDance.com.au
Well I have to go and find all your blogs again, yesterday for some reason all my bookmarks had dissapeared!! So if I have not visited you - I may not have found you again..lol
Hope you all have a great weekend:)

Weekend Calorie Crunching
When the weekend hits it's easy to think ' I was good all week, it's time to party' but consider this:
There are 104 weekend days per year. Add another 26 if you count Friday night as a half weekend day as a total of 130 days.
Now mutiply by 300 calories, which is a relatively low estimate of the calories you won't burn because you feel you shouldn't exercise or the extra calories you'll consume in weekend treats, and you have accumulated 39,000 calories - the equivalent of about 5 kilo's!
Although the occasional splurge can actually be a good thing, it's best to think of weekends as just an extention of the week. Keep eating right and exercising often!
I find my problem is not normally weekends - mine is thursday as I weigh in the morning and then do my shopping and eat lunch in town (naughty takeaway), which leads to friday too!!...and then if I am having a problem weekend ( party ect) I tend to work my butt off to undo any damage...I really need to stop this!!!
So this thursday I am going to have a salad roll, or subway instead to KFC or Chinese or potato cakes like last week :<
Monday, November 7
Spent yesterday at a friends house down in Essendon relaxing in the sun it was nice to be able to just sit there and do nothing - thats what I love about summer ( typing as it is raining outside)
The last few days I have found it hard to motivate myself to exercise because it has been so warm ~ no trouble with water intake though!!
Last night since the boys had takeaway pizza, For myself I made a sweet chilli ham and potato pizza that I copied off www.my lunchbox.blogspot ( can't work out the link) - it was really yummy, I didn't use the sour cream and I added mushrooms! will definetley be making that one again!!
I am going to go get my butt into gear and do some airwalker while I watch Blue Heelers. Hope everyone is having a great day!!
Thursday, November 3
We all went to lunch for Oaks day today - so I am quite full at the moment:)
Town does have a website -www.townclubsofvic.org (I think that is it!)
There is a link to the website on the Annette Sym website!
About the old points - they have changed a bit, some of the newer people will be able to explain more!!
Will update more later - gotta go pick Luke up from activities!
Have a great day:)
Tuesday, November 1
I am happy to say that even though Vic and the boys have been home, I have managed to do some form of exercise everyday!
The cup is on this afternoon - I have backed the Diva, as I don't really know what other horses are around - and I have backed her for the last couple of years!
Not much else really happening, so I thought I would post the recipe for the cottage pie we had for tea last night!
Cottage Pie serves four, 5 points each ( the old points)
2 tsp olive oil
1 onion, chopped finely
1 stick celery, chopped finely
500g lean beef mince
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon flour
400g canned tomatoes - I used crushed
1/2 cup beef stock
1 carrot, grated
5 medium potatoes
1/2 cup skim milk
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
Heat a large frypan, cook the onion and celery till soft. Add the mince and cook. Stir in garlic and flour. Add tomatoes, carrot and stock, bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer till mixture is thick and moist.
Meanwhile. Cook potatoes until tender. Mash with milk.
Spoon meat into ovenproof dish. Spread the mashed potato on top and gently press down with the back of a fork. Sprinkle with cheese and bake 30 minutes till heated through and golden on top.
Enjoy!!!
